I have a method of keeping things in order when I do business with you.
Here is what I will do once you contact me and what you can expect from me next…
PHASE 1: POINT OF CONTACT
Once I receive your INTEREST FORM, I will send you a response within 2 business days.
That response will include a thanks for contacting me and any additional questions regarding specifics for your project, your customers, and your needs and goals for the project I might have after reviewing the responses on your Interest Form that you filled out on my Contact page.
I’ll include with that my pricing range sheet for my services and my timeline range for jobs as well so you can have an idea of what I charge for my services and the time it takes to complete the project. These are just ranges, so depending on what your project entails, the cost and timeline needed for it may be anywhere on those numbers and times listed. I’ll know better when we have our Discovery Call.
I’ll also let you know what my next available time slots are for a complimentary Discovery Call. I schedule my calls in 30-minute slots so I can be fair to everyone who needs services arranged.
This Discovery Call is to ensure we are both on the same page and we have a clear understanding of what you need from me and what both of our expectations are of one another.
PHASE 2: THE “DISCOVERY” CALL
This to further discuss the project, get to know each other a little better and talk about other items related to the project.
Two business days after I receive your completed Interest Form, I will send you an email to set up a call with my next available Discovery Call opening.
I don’t quote prices during this call. I will consider everything we discuss on our call and put together a proposal for your review. Every client’s needs are different, and going over your needs and seeing how I can help you is important to me.
* Please be prepared to discuss what your budget will be for this project or a range early in our conversation during the Discovery Call.
You may be reluctant to divulge what you’re able to spend, but this is important to discuss it early and openly.
Why?
Because absolutely every service I provide can be approached in different ways that will impact the total project cost.
If I know your budget upfront, I can recommend the best approach and tools to accomplish your objective.
I also want to save time – yours and mine – by determining early on if our financial expectations are not in alignment.
PHASE 3: DESCRIPTIVE PROPOSAL
Two business days after our call, I will send you a detailed proposal breaking down into detail what was discussed during the discovery call.
That will include a description of what services I will be providing, my fee structure specific to the project, deadlines, payment terms, and anything else we discussed.
I do require 50% of the project upfront on every project. This lets me know you are a serious about your marketing efforts.
This also reserves my time and services for your specific project. I charge the balance after the work has been delivered and approved.
PHASE 4: LET’S GET TO WORK!
Once I receive the signed proposal back and your deposit, we will officially be in business working with one another!
I expect there to be questions and information exchanges along the way, so it’s so important that we keep an open line of communication.
I provide a 30-minute client call with you once we have an agreement signed and deposit received.
This first official client call will include discussion about the digital newsletter or business blog article composition, style and format, the “voice” you want to use, and other information pertinent to the project.
Once our call ends, I will get to work putting the project together for you. You can review it and let me know your feedback.
Once we are working together, I am available weekdays from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. via phone, texts, and emails. If you call and I’m working with another client at that moment, please leave a voicemail message or text message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
If I am able to get back to you outside of those days and times, I will do that, but these are generally my business hours.
PHASE 5: FEEDBACK & REVISIONS
Once final submissions are sent to you, and if you would like any revisions done, I offer 2 free revisions on each piece of copy.
Just let me know what needs to be changed, edited or rewritten in writing, and I’ll get that taken care of and sent back to you and/or your designated staff for final approval.
PHASE 6: INVOICING & EXIT SURVEY
Once the project pieces are approved and accepted, I will send you an invoice for the work I have done for you along with an Exit Survey which includes a few simple questions about how you think I did.
I use this information to improve my communication skills with clients, response times on projects, and I find out what I did that you loved during our communication throughout the project so I can continue doing those things in the future.
